Message from the Principal:
Welcome to the Jefferson Middle School. Our goal simply is to be the best, after all what else is there? The Middle School is rated as an Excellent school, and as an Ohio Department of Education School of Promise. The school of promise is awarded to school buildings who excel past ODE's expected yearly growth measure for students. the ODE .Our middle school staff serves all children. Our staff realizes that all children can learn, and that learning and achievement occurs in each child at different rates of mastery.To achieve this goal our staff and students follow a simple philosophy that we call " listen to the voice". The voice is your conscience, it is all the lessons and knowledge that your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles have taught you. When you listen to the voice you will make wise decisions. The voice has many positive messages to share. The first message is that it is always right to be polite, and to be on time, to treat others as you wish to be treated.
The second message is always believe in your self, refuse to accept from yourself anything less than your personal best. The third message is always do what is right, even if it hurts. Do what is right in a polite and decent manner. Be respectful to peers and adults. Working hard to be your best everyday will ensure that you will be a successful student in the middle school, in high school, and in your adult live. I treasure the thought of working with all our students to achieve the goals, objectives and thoughts listed in this writing.
